Good afternoon, Reader,

I love interviewing folks for stories like the one about Brittany and Barry in today's headlines. Hearing them connect the dots through their lives to a certain moment is always beautiful.

It makes you wonder, though: if one of those dots were missing, where would this individual be today?

Fortunately, Barry's dots connected to Brittany's in Chicago, and now they are creating space for more dots to be connected in Jasper.

Maybe I took that metaphor too far.
