Issue #216

From Dubois County

Happy Tuesday, Reader,

The beauty of Ashley's story is the passion she has for what she is doing at the Venue on Vine.

I think my favorite quote from the story is “My whole life, everybody said, ‘You’re in the wrong field.’ And, I picked the safe job because I had two kids, and I just wanted to make sure I had a job,” Ashley said. “I didn’t trust myself to do it. But now that they’re off and doing their thing, it’s like, I need to do this. This is something I have to do.”

She's 47 and taking this big step.

Then, in another interview today, I spoke with someone who is stepping into a role that aligns with his passions.

He's 59.

I look forward to sharing his story.

And, I gotta say, as a 51-year-old who sometimes wonders about time, these people are inspiring me.

From Dubois County with love.

Matthew and Amy Crane
