Issue #326

From Dubois County

Hey Reader,

If you do an internet search for B. Edward Ewing, you will find a plethora of articles about his rise from growing up dirt-poor on Sixth Street in Jasper to being a multi-hundred-millionaire.

We are all shaped by what we're born into and the people who leave their mark on us — in ways large and small, intended or not.

Mr. Ewing is a storyteller, and through the story he told near the mound on the Jasper Youth League Baseball field named after him last night, you could sense that baseball and the coaches he played under were important in shaping the businessman he became.

Have a great day.

From Dubois County with love.

Matthew and Amy Crane
