AI, AI, AI...

I was in a local coffee shop and overheard a pair talking about using ChatGPT for their small business.

As I was walking out, I spoke with someone else who mentioned using ChatGPT instead of Wikipedia to research a specific topic.

I had also just recently read about a song topping Christian charts that was also created by AI.

Jumping in my vehicle, I started up the playlist the algorithm had created for me on Spotify. A song I had been digging lately started playing. Realizing that I had no idea who the artist was, just something Spotify had served up to me, I had an epiphany to check them out.

The name was somewhat vague, just a band name and no photos of a human artist.

Clicking on the name, I found that this band has 749,000 followers on the app, but in the bio, they admit it is AI.

Ugh.

I think I'll be sliding back into my 80s Top Pop Songs playlist.

"Don't you forget about me...."
