Mandy Fason is the costume designer for the production going on at League Stadium. I met up with her in the parking lot after photographing the production today.

She was excited to see her work being filmed in the field. The uniforms are based on what was worn in 1915. Fason said researching what those uniforms looked like was difficult. She couldn't determine their colors because all of the photos are black and white.

So she sought out stories that might describe them and their colors. For example, the Yankee uniform was especially problematic because reporters consistently described the team's away uniforms as ugly, but never mentioned the colors.

The pinstripes were introduced in 1912, discontinued and then returned in 1915, and Fason found that the pinstripes on those away uniforms pinstripes were multicolored.

She said she found five articles that mentioned the uniforms and their colors. From them, she determined that the Yankees pinstripe colors for the away uniforms were red, green and blue.

They only lasted the 1915 season.
