Here is a rundown of Tuesday's headlines.

Commissioner Chad Blessinger is still waiting on RWE to respond about the Shamrock solar project up by Ireland. Meanwhile, Jasper Police Chief Chad Dick gave the Board of Works the August numbers: nearly 1,400 calls for service, plus several patrol vehicles sidelined by the summer heat.

Elsewhere: St. Meinrad Rocks Fest returns for its 15th year Sept. 25-26, and Sam Bush plays The Astra Oct. 17. The county Election Board holds its public equipment test Sept. 24 at the Courthouse Annex, and a wire piece looks at Greg Ballard's secretary of state run under the new Lincoln Party banner and what it could mean for third-party ballot access.
