I attended the Jasper Lions Club meeting today as part of my research into a story I am working on regarding their 75th anniversary.

Mayor Vonderheide was there to present them with a proclamation celebrating the achievement.

As part of the story, I am seeking individuals who have been impacted by the group's efforts to support people with vision issues in our community.

Over the past year, they have spent more than $10,000 helping folks with glasses. They also have reading machines that help magnify things like prescription pill bottles (my arm isn't long enough) and, in one case, even helping a carpenter with his woodworking.
