Issue #153

From Dubois County

Hey Reader,

Today, we wrote about the interlocal agreement between Jasper and Huntingburg to study U.S. 231 and explore what it would look like if the state were to relinquish it to them. While it hasn't come up in a Jasper meeting yet, the Huntingburg Common Council spoke about it for about a third of last night's meeting.

Also, a new festival in October will highlight veteran mental health.

And tomorrow evening, veterans and their family members can begin the process of becoming registered for VA benefits at a special event at the Jasper American Legion.

Also, someone has the winning ticket for the Jasper Strassenfest.

Check these stories out and more below.

From Dubois County with love.

Tuesday, August 26, 2025 Issue #152 From Dubois County Two-and-a-half-year-old Hudson Poole took his Mario costume for a spin on Buehler Park's soccer field with his dad, while his mom and brother played pickleball nearby. Dad said the Halloween costume had arrived in the mail that day, and, of course, Hudson had to put it on. Hey Reader, I enjoy sitting on my porch and watching the sunrise in the morning.
